Hundreds of stylists and barbers have rejoiced at the opportunity to welcome customers back to their chairs and salons, with many now being booked up weeks in advance as a wave of split ends and wild hairstyles are brought back under control
While most of the plaudits have been shone down on the hospitality industry, Southport has been abuzz with bustling barbershops and salons who are returning to work to boost the resort’s stalled economy
Due to stringent Social Distancing and health and safety measures, clients and hairdressers alike have had to adapt to a new way of working in a short space of time, with many operating a booking only system
Some barbers however are still welcoming walk ins. Steve’s Barbers in Bold Street is one such barber and has seen growing trade in the last week due to the increasing demand for a haircut
