John Pugh has announced he won’t be running for MP again.

The MP who has served for 16 years will now step down – meaning it’s likely councillor sue McGuire will be chosen as the lib dem replacement nominee. She will go up against the Tories, Labour and UKIP in a General Election on June 8.

Speaking of his decision, John said he did not want another long term parliament dealing with the impact of brexit.
