Boy smashed off his bike and driver flees the scene in Southport town centre (otsnews.tv)

Police and paramedics are on the hunt for a youngster who was struck by a black Audi outside the Volunteer Pub on Eastbank Street at around 2.30pm, Saturday 9 May.

 

A witness said:

“The lad on his bike shot out into the busy road and was smashed by a black Audi.  The youngster aged around 13-years-old then hobbled off after his mates helped him up.

 

The group then made their way down Princes Street, the boy was clearly in the need of medical treatment.

The driver of the black Audi fled the scene at high speed.

Shoppers were left stood around in shock”.
