Boy racers and motor heads clash with day trippers.

Day trippers enjoying a sunny Sunday stroll along Southport prom had to jump out of the way of boy racers and petrol heads.

Inconsiderate drivers heading underneath the Marine Way bridge to show off their motors swung around and drove through crowds of people near Kings Garden cafe.

While some cars stopped, most forced their way through and honked their horn at the last moment to make pedestrians move out of their way.

The access road is not classed as a public right of way and is only supposed to be used for emergency services and maintenance vehicles
