Botanic gardens would like to thank all their sponsors and volunteers that have helped them plant flowers ready summer.

A botanic gardens spokesperson said:

“The flower beds are done, all we need now is more sunshine and the public to enjoy the park.

Martin, Suzanne, Stuart, Kieron, James and Connor have all been busy this week planting.

We would like to thank all the sponsors as without them there would not be any flowers for us all to enjoy. So many thanks to all the Rotary clubs of Southport, Meols, Southport Links & Southport Rotary Sunrise. Nationwide produce, Southport flower show, the Gautrey family, Bens Grandad, The Soroptimists, Mr B Howard, Mr and Mrs Gaffney, Mrs M Lee,Angels of Churchtown, M Brown, mrs C Morris, J & D, Asda, Botanic Gardens Cafe and of course public donations.

We hope you all enjoy what Martin and Sue have done for you all in the last few weeks of employment at Botanic Gardens.

As you know of all the local government cut backs that have been made there would not be any plants if it were not for the dedicated staff volunteers and sponsorship.”
