Bootle Council force up Southport beach parking prices

17th February 2020

Furious tourists and locals are reacting with disbelief once more after Sefton announced they’ll be skyrocketing prices to park on Southport beach.

A staggering 33% increase will see drivers forced to pay £8 per car just to park in Southport’s golden sands

It follows fears that council tax will also increase once again by nearly 4%, the national maximum limit its allowed to go up by.

This increase is the latest nail in the Southport coffin according to local councillors.
