Blowick Publishing Company confirm takeover of OTS News

30th June 2020

The Blowick Publishing Company is pleased to confirm the purchase of OTS News.

Blowick Publishing Company founder James Cave will be the website’s new Editor.

Mr Cave said “We have been in negotiations to purchase OTS for several months and I’m grateful to the previous owners for all of their time and effort during the sale.

“OTS News has been at the forefront of local news in Southport for 8 years and I’m looking forward to continuing their good work.”

James is a life-long Southport resident and the former press officer of Southport Football Club. He has also presented on Southport Community Radio, Knowsley Commercial Radio and Mighty Radio.

Speaking of the sale, Cave said: “When we heard the site was potentially available for purchase, it was an easy decision to make. The site regularly receives over 1 million page views a month and we believe there is still plenty of room for growth.

“In time we hope to submit to IPSO accreditation, and we have long term plans to refurbish the website, ensuring the best possible experience for our readers and advertisers. I’m also pleased to confirm that all of the site’s news content will remain freely available.”

The Blowick Publishing Company begin management of OTS News immediately.
