Fire crews have closed off Station Road in Ainsdale following a blaze above a takeaway.
Crews were called to Poons Chinese takeaway after a blaze broke out.
Nobody is thought to be injured in the fire but two crews are currently on scene.
An investigation is now underway to find out the cause of the fire Police have closed off the road and motorists are being told to totally avoid the area.
Paramedics are also on scene to treat people for minor smoke inhalation.
