Can you help a Southport Care Home celebrate a very special 100th birthday for a former Royal Marine?

The ex Marine, a gentleman called Stan, will be celebrating his 100th birthday on Saturday 7th March and staff at Ivy Gate Lodge, where he lives, would love to make it a memorable day for him.

Kind hearted well wishers are being encouraged to send Stan a. 100th birthday card to the home at 71 Scarisbrick New Road, Southport, PR8 6LF.

Veterans are also invited to call in and wish Stan all the best between 2pm and 4pm on the day itself.

Rave Lawson at Ivy Gate Lodge Care Home said: “Hi all, I work in a care home in Southport. “We have a resident turning 100 years old on the 7th March.

“We are looking to do something special in his honour and to celebrate such an achievement.

“Stan was in the Royal Marines so if anyone would be interested in coming to see Stan to talk about their experience in any of the armed forces. That would be greatly appreciated!”
