Birkdale Land Rover theft prompts police probe

Police are appealing for information following a report that a vehicle was stolen in Birkdale on Sunday 18 April.

It was reported that a silver Land Rover Defender had been stolen by an unknown male offender from outside an address on Heathfield Road at around 9.55pm.

The vehicle registration number is YD53JFO and it was reported to have been driven off in the direction of Southport.

It was reported that the stolen Land Rover was traveling in convoy with an electric blue Ford.

CCTV and witness enquiries have been carried out and enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle.

Community Policing Inspector Graham Fisher said: “We would urge anyone with information about this incident to get in touch.

“If you were in the Heathfield Road area on Sunday night and saw anything or anyone suspicious or captured anything on mobile phone or dashcam then please let us know and we will do the rest.

“We understand the worry that such incidents cause in the local community and would reassure residents that we are doing all we can to find those responsible.”
