Birkdale incident: Air ambulance lands as emergency services rush to scene

Emergency services have been called to New Cut Lane in Southport after a woman collapsed on the pavement, Wednesday 4 March 2020.

An air ambulance was called after First responders and passers by in the quiet suburban street rushed to her side after she reportedly collapsed.

The young woman was helped up and was responding to questions by the time paramedics arrived on scene just after 2pm this afternoon.

It’s not currently known how sever her injuries are.

She was assessed by medics on scene and taken to southport hospital for further checks.
