Staff at Laura Ashley Home in Birkdale no sooner opened their doors once again to customers before having to announce they’ll close for good.

Earlier this year OTS News revealed that the chain, which has a store in Birkdale Village, filed for administration after talks to save the company were halted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The store reopened along with hundreds of others this month after lockdown restrictions eased but staff were told they would sadly be closing down again, this time for good.

The company said the virus had ‘an immediate and significant impact on trading and ongoing developments indicate that this will be a sustained national situation’.
