A popular Birkdale bar has temporarily shut down ‘with a heavy heart’ after it was confirmed that the premises had experienced a positive case of COVID-19.
Management at the Allotment in Birkdale revealed it will be forced to shut until further notice, citing the safety of staff and customers as their top priority.
A post by the bar said “It is with a heavy heart that we are forced to announce the closure of our beautiful Allotment until further notice, due to a confirmed case of Covid-19 on the premises last week.
“The health & safety of all our staff and customers will always come first and we take all the government guidelines very seriously.
“We are in contact with track & trace & are taking all the appropriate steps.
“Thank you so much to all our amazing customers, your support means the world to us.”
