Southport bin blaze arsonists escape police again

3rd December 2018

Town centre vandals have struck again in Southport this time burning a shop bin to a crisp.

Tulketh Street is now littered with the melted remains of a red biffa bin after youths set it alight on Sunday night.

Staff at both the Travel Money shop and Marks & Spencer’s arrived at work this morning to discover the remains of the bin and its contents outside the food hall entrance of M&S.

Fire crews were called to the scene shortly after 9pm on Sunday night and managed to extinguish the fire.

However the arsonists made a clean getaway and police are not hopeful of making any arrests.
