Bikes stolen from Southport returned to the owner

14th March 2019

STOLEN BIKE RETURNED TO OWNER.

A bike stolen in a shed burglary in the Hesketh Park area of Southport on the 2nd of March has been returned to it’s owner, following the bike being found abandoned by another local resident.

A PCSO who attended to view the abandoned bike recognised it from the description of one stolen in the burglary that he attended.

The owner was able to confirm it was the right bike and was grateful for its return.

It’s one bike among a number that get stolen, but an example that we will always try to match bikes found to crimes that have occurred, whenever we can.
