A Motorbike rider who was knocked off his bike in a freak accident on Cambridge Road, luckily only suffering broken bones as a result, has thanks all his well wishers while he recovers.

Kieran Oldham was involved in an accident at the junction of Cambridge Road and Hesketh Drive on Wednesday evening and was taken to hospital with injuries to his hand and legs.

After people flooded OTS news with their well wishes and kind thoughts, Kieran said he wanted to respond to say thank you.

He said: “I am the biker involved in the recent crash you reported on.

“I would just like to let you and everyone know that I am alive and well and have escaped with just a few cuts and broken bones.

“I would like to thank all of the people who ran to my aid and provided me with coats and blankets for the whole half an hour it took for authorities to arrive.”img_9169
