Free sports coaching sessions will be available to Sefton young people over the October half term holidays as the Be Active programme returns.
The programme was launched in the summer as a part of a commitment from Sefton Council to provide free sessions across the borough to help young people stay active and was a huge success with more than 9,000 visitors to the camps and sessions.
The free sessions will take place at all Sefton Council leisure centres in addition to the regular Be Active events which will include a small charge.
Cllr Ian Moncur, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children Schools, Families and Leisure, said: “The summer Be Active campaign was a fantastic success and it was great to see so many young people taking part in sport and physical activity across all of our centres.
“The programme has been designed to provide something for everyone and I look forward to seeing an active half term in Sefton.”
Activities taking place include football, rounders, baby ballet, swimming and Wicked and Frozen themed dance camps.
