Yet another Met Office yellow warning for north west coasts this weekend. Storm Jorge is set to bring heavy rain and high winds to the north west coast this weekend, with gusts of up to 70mph.
This means that, once again, local residents need to ensure wheely bins, garden furniture and other items that may blow into traffic are secured. Cyclists and motorcyclists should find alternative travel arrangements when the wind speed is at its highest. Drivers of high sided vehicles should avoid coastal routes and take care on the Formby by-Pass. Pedestrians need to be aware of the risk from falling debris.
