Baby dies from cardiac arrest despite heroic Emergency Services efforts

A baby from Southport has tragically passed away after suffering from a cardiac arrest.

The baby was transported to hospital after emergency services were called to a property on Viking Close yesterday.

OTS News understands that the incident is being treated as an accidental death and that they were not airlifted to hospital.

Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that emergency services are in Southport following an incident yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 12 October).

“At around 4.55pm, we received a report that a baby had suffered cardiac arrest at an address on Viking Close.

“The baby was taken to hospital and sadly later passed away.

“Officers remain at the scene today (Wednesday 13 October) while enquiries are being carried, as per normal procedures.”
