People are invited to celebrate the first Sefton Pride event taking place in Southport this summer. It is free to attend and will take place at Victoria Park in Southport between midday and 6pm on Sunday, 16th July 2023. Visitors can enjoy music, food and drink, family fun, live shows, and more. It is being organised by Sefton Pride CIC which is also organising a Pride march in Southport that morning for those who wish to take part. Tablers were delighted to present donations worth a total of over £35,000 to recipients ahead of their annual AGM at the Waterfront Southport Hotel. A Southport man is getting ready to run the 2023 London Marathon to raise as much money as he can for Southport Soup Kitchen. Harry Topping will be joining thousands of runners making their way through the streets of the capital on 23rd April on the challenging 26.2-mile course. Southport Hesketh Round Table has enjoyed another superb Children In Need fundraising day at schools, businesses and other venues around Southport. The prolific charity, which manages some of the largest family events in Southport including the Grand Bonfire, Santa Float and Mad Dog 10K, set itself a massive target to beat its number of school and local business visits last year – and has officially done it!
