Arriva withdraws bus route out of Hayskane Village near Southport

Residents in Haskayne near Southport are up in arms following the recent withdrawal of a bus route from Arriva Busses.

Arrivia have rerouted their No 300 bus out of Haskayne Village and no longer picks up fares.

They have decided not to put a new bus stop at the bottom of Haskayne Bridge outside the Kings Head because they say its to dangerous.

Residents in Haskayne Village now have to walk 3/4 of a mile down the road to the nearest bus stop outside the former Blue Bell pub.

Resident Norman Kerr (pictured below) plans to put a petition together against this ludicrous decision.
