Are you 5K ready?

Are you all set for the Active Sefton 5K event at Crosby Lakeside on Monday or just want to improve your fitness for the summer? We’ve been posting a number of updates on getting fit and healthy.

Did you know you can register for a free park run in Sefton? These new events take place in Southport or Crosby and are a great way to run and make new friends. All levels of ability will be welcomed at the sessions, which start at 9am on Saturdays. View more details at

Do you also do some stretching with your workouts?

A flexible body is more efficient, sees more gains in strength and endurance, enjoys a greater range of motion, is less injury-prone, recovers more quickly and simply feels better. Stretching your main muscle groups after your workout will calm your muscles and encourage stability and support. If you feel you need guidance, why not try an Active Workforce Yoga or Pilates class within your workplace? Classes are also available at ourActive Sefton centres.
