Are we saying goodbye to the Rabbit for the final time?

Are we saying goodbye to the Rabbit for the final time?

Sad news that Southport has lost another of its old pubs, the Rabbit on Manchester Road, which has finally closed this week.

Rabbit regular Gareth Burgess said: “It’s sad another pub as gone, the Rabbit was a fun packed traditional local pub situated on Manchester road. They served decent draught beers, along with a selection of real ales and good quality soft drinks for non-drinkers and drivers.

“There was always a friendly atmosphere and warm welcome this made it a fantastic pub for everyone one – young or old”.

“The beer garden was one of the best, it was a great place to sit and relax with a refreshing drink or meal during the summer months. This is also a fantastic place to have a smoke or even get ‘high’ with friends”.

“Lets hope the rabbit opens again soon”
