Applied Science Level 3 Extended Diploma now available at Southport College

Students who want to study a Level 3 extended diploma (equivalent to A-Levels) in applied science can now do so at Southport College. The College has expanded and upgraded its science laboratories over the summer break and is accepting applications from students who would like to start the new course in September.

The course covers specialist subjects including genetic engineering and microbiology as well as the fundamentals of science. The course opens up the doors to universities for students to study related degrees such as microbiology, genetic engineering and human physiology. To join the course students are expected to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*- C which must include maths, English and science at a minimum of grade C.

New students can apply for this course, as well as the College’s comprehensive range of courses for school leavers, during the enrolment sessions taking place throughout August.
