Appeal for witnesses following serious public order incidents in Crosby supermarket

POLICE appealing for witnesses following serious public order incidents at a supermarket in Crosby Village on Tuesday, 17 December.

At around 4pm, a man verbally abused staff and attempted to assault a staff member at Farmfoods, Liverpool Road, before smashing the window of a door.

At around 7pm, the same suspect went back to the store and threatened a staff member with a knife.

Officers attended and enquiries have been ongoing.

Inspector Beth Blake, from Merseyside Police, said: “We are investigating the incidents and I would ask anyone who saw anything on the day to please get in touch.

“We are particularly interested in talking to anyone who may have filmed an incident on their mobile phone.”
