    Appeal for witnesses following serious collision in Kenyons Lane, Maghull

    Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Maghull in the early hours of Saturday, March 23.
     

    At around 01.50am, a grey coloured Honda CR-V was in collision with a 17-year-old male pedestrian in Kenyons Lane, near the junction with Dodds Lane. The pedestrian sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

    A 50-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving. She has since been released under investigation.

    Enquries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information is asked to contact police.

    Inspector Phil McManus said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or may have seen the vehicle in the area prior to the collision occurring. We would urge anyone who lives in the area and has CCTV to check if it has captured footage of the vehicle or collision itself. Likewise, we would be grateful for anyone with dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
