POLICE are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a 41 year old man from Liverpool.

Ian Long, 41, was last seen by his sister at an address on Honeysuckle Road in Hesketh Bank on Tuesday 5 September 2014 but has not made contact with family members since.

It is believed that Mr Long may have stayed with friends in recent months and is thought to have stayed in the Kirkby area in January.

He is described as white, 5ft 7 tall, of a slim build with dark brown hair and slightly crooked front teeth. He is known to look unkempt and often shaves his hair off completely and likes to wear a baseball cap.

As well as connections to the Kirkby area he is known to have connections to Southport & Skelmersdale.

PC Carmen Whittle of Skelmersdale Police said: “It has been a number of months since Ian last made contact with his family and they are getting very concerned about him. I would urge anyone who might know of Ian’s whereabouts or Ian himself, if he sees this appeal, to make contact with us to let us know he is safe.”

Anybody with any information can contact Lancashire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
