POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fight involving 15 men broke out outside an Ormskirk pub last night (Tuesday 23 December 2014).

Officers were called to the scene of the brawl at 11:45pm outside the Queens Head pub on Moor Street in the town centre.

Two men were injured in the disorder and were taken to Southport Hospital. One man suffered a laceration to the head and a second man suffered a bloodied and swollen face.

DS Di Higham of Skelmersdale CID said: “We are still trying to establish why the fight started and exactly who was involved.

“I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to come forward and speak to us.

“Lastly, to those who want to go out and cause trouble over the festive period, be warned that violent behaviour will not be tolerated and you will end up spending Christmas in the cells.”

Three men aged 26, 19 and 27 have been arrested in relation to this incident and are currently in police custody.
