Volunteers at an animal charity in Holmeswood are celebrating a bumper boost to their coffers – thanks to a whopping six-figure donation.
Woodlands Animal Sanctuary was awarded £176,422 towards a new cattery at their Sandy Lane site by Support Adoption for Pets.
Set up by pet supplies retailer, Pets at Home, Support Adoption for Pets helps hundreds of pet rehoming organisations in the UK.
And the welcome donation couldn’t have come at a better time for Woodlands after they were forced to cancel a fundraising open day for the second time this summer.
