Andrew Hegarty Returns to Southport Airwaves

    By 25th January 2016

Radio presenter and journalist, Andrew Hegarty, is bringing his new radio show to local station, Mighty Radio, on Thursday evenings.

Andrew, who started his career in radio as a broadcast journalist and has written for a number of national magazines, has been presenting at a radio station in Runcorn for the last 13 months but decided to return to his home town to spend more time with his friends and family.

The Southport-born broadcaster said, “The new show will be a mix of excellent music, local news and lively discussion which I encourage listeners to get involved in. It’s a real honour to be back on-air in Southport, especially on such a popular station as Mighty”.

Mighty Radio’s presenter line-up includes BAFTA-nominated television director, David Richardson, former Rock FM presenter, Ginge and the hilarious duo Dave ‘The Mighty’ Quinn and ‘Tiny’ Trevor Ford.

You can hear Andrew every Thursday from 7pm at www.mightysouthport.co.uk or by downloading the TuneIn radio app for smartphone and tablet.
