Park-goers were left shocked after an air ambulance landed on a Southport Park this evening.
The North West Air Ambulance was called in response to an emergency incident believed to have taken place in the grounds of the Prince of Wales Hotel on Lord Street.
The helicopter landed near to the memorial fountain in Kings Gardens just before 6pm.
Paramedics were also called to the scene.
An update is expected to follow.
