Ainsdale woman arrested following pursuit of suspected stolen vehicle in Crosby

Merseyside Police have arrested five people and recovered a suspected stolen vehicle following a pursuit in Crosby last night, Sunday 2 December.

At around 8.10pm, a suspected stolen Ford Focus was sighted in the Crosby Road area, which failed to stop for patrols in Moor Lane. Following a short pursuit, the car was stopped by traffic officers on Moor Lane, and five people were detained with assistance from dog patrols.

An 18-year-old man from Vauxhall; a 22-year-old woman from Ainsdale; a 39-year-old man from Vauxhall; a 20-year-old man from Vauxhall; and a 19-year-old woman from Croxteth were arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling, being carried on a motor vehicle taken without the owners consent and theft of a motor vehicle and taken to police stations for questioning.
