Ainsdale library is now called Edda and is better than ever

Edda is an independent community arts venue and library .The library is free to join and borrow a book. They are independent of Sefton’s library service  so you need to become a member of Edda . There is currently about 5000 books on the shelves including ,fiction ,non fiction ,biographies ,educational , hobbies and audio books .

They are part of Bridge Inn Community Farm in Formby , a farm for adults with learning difficulties where they provide a work based and educational activities in animal husbandry ,agriculture , conservation and also arts and crafts . At Edda they have classes in performance arts for our students during the day including drama ,dance , music ,poetry  and creative writing . The students also help on the library .

They have also put together a programme of theatre and music including poetry evenings ,jazz, comedy theatre and children’s events .

There Next events are Spy School for 7 – 11year olds . 14th , 20th and 21st Aug 10am – 4pm (13th fully booked ) and Ginger Tunes Fri 21st August . 8:30 pm A great Jazz trio featuring Mike Smith . Tickets £8.00
