Ainsdale church to hold community food market

A weekly community food market is being launched in Ainsdale.

St John Stone’s Church has been hosting a community advice service every Thursday, but from Wednesday, October 3 but this will change to the Woodvale Community Food Market and will be every Wednesday from 1pm – 3pm at St John Stone Parish Club on Sandbrook Way.

The Woodvale Community Mar- ket is a retail outlet that offers food from supermarkets surplus to requirements at greatly reduced prices and will be a service for local people who would otherwise struggle with food poverty.

It is similar to the Community Food Market run at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, and is organised by Nugent and St John Stone.
