Activities on offer this half term across Sefton

Saturday 22 October – Moorside Park, 1 – 3pm

Free Halloween themed afternoon with activities including arts, crafts and hollowing out pumpkins to name but a few.

 

Saturday 22 & 29 October, Killen Green, 11am – 1pm

Join Rampworx at Killen Green Park for free coached sessions with fully qualified coaches. Parents and guardians will be required to complete permission forms for those under 16 at their first session.

 

Saturday 22 October to Sunday 30 October – Splash World 

Southport’s very own indoor water park will be open for more splashtastic fun during the school holidays.

The Atkinson will be hosting its annual KidsFest event offering a fantastic range of fun, hands-on activities and amazing live performances for children.

Sunday 23 October – Victoria Park, 3 – 5pm

Free storytelling, face painting, pumpkin carving, birds of prey, fancy dress competition and crafts.

 

Monday 24 to Friday 28 October – borough wide

A ‘Spooktacular’ Be Active programme, with the usual array of fun physical activity for children and young people age 3-16 years, including gymnastics, football camps, a pre-school crash course in swimming and everything in-between.

Monday 24 October to Friday 28 October – Crosby & Formby Library

Formby author and illustrator, Holly Bushnell will be guiding children aged 4 and above on how to create their own illustrated story. On hand will also be Tony Higginson of Beyond Books media.

Helping budding young cyclists to be safe while taking that first big step, the Ditch Those Stabilisers sessions for children age 4 years and above

 

Wednesday 26 October – Kings Gardens, 1pm – 3pm

Themed craft activities.

 

Thursday October 27 – Shoreside Primary School, 9am – 12pm

Helping budding young cyclists to be safe while taking that first big step, the Ditch Those Stabilisers sessions for children age 4 years and above.

 

Friday 28 October – Christ the King School, 10am – 2pm

Our Aiming High Short Breaks team are running a free family fun day where children and young people can enjoy face painting, bouncy castles and circus skills and more.

 

Friday 28 October to Monday 31 October – Southport

Southport’s Halloween festival, Spookport is back with a whole host of spooky events designed to chill and thrill.

Thursday 27 October – Portland Street and Bedford Park

Free Street Games sessions for young people age 8 years and over are running until 17 November. These sessions are floodlit and include multi-sports, football and basketball.

Friday 28 October – Southport College and Netherton Activity Centre

Doorstep Club is for those aged 12+ and offers FREE sessions on a Friday evening at Southport College and Netherton Activity Centre.

Sunday 30 October – North Park, 6pm – 8pm

The brilliant free event, Sporting Lights is taking place again this year in North Park and will tehre’s so much on offer including zorb footballs, face painting, an inflatable assault course, pumpkin carving and crafts, face painting and more. Bring a torch or glow sticks!

 

Sunday 30 October – Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre, from 7pm

L30’s Millions are showing the family classic, The Goonies on the outdoor cinema screen at Netherton Park Centre. Entry is free and hot food and refreshments are available to purchase on the night.

 

Sunday 30 October – Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, 10am – 3pm

Sefton Coast Landscape Partnership will be holding a Beachcombing Festival and there will be a host of experts on hand to explain what can be found on our coastline and what lurks under the waves offshore. There will be a walk at 11.30am, leaving from the centre.
