A Super Hero Southport Comic Con

By On The Spot News17th September 2016

A Super Hero Southport Comic Con

Southport Comic Con took place today (Saturday 17 September). Sandgrounder radio DJ Danny Howard was on hand to capture some fantastic photographs from the hugely popular event.

What is Comic Con you may ask?

Conventions have rapidly taken off within the UK as one of the main forms of family entertainment. People of all ages flock to these T.V, film, and comic themed events every weekend in their thousands, hoping to get an autograph from their favourite actors, participate in workshops, and meet like-minded folk who share in their interests.

Among the world of conventions, North West Comic Cons have developed an excellent reputation for holding events which provide an experience the public can thoroughly enjoy. With an impressive variety of special guests over the years including Dave Prowse (Darth Vader), Sylvester McCoy (Dr Who; The Hobbit), and a plethora of other popular celebrities, convention goers are never disappointed at NWCC events. Located primarily in the North West, with conventions currently based in Bolton, Southport, and Wigan, NWCC ensures their conventions represent a fantastic day out.
