A four-year-old boy found wandering the streets has been reunited with his parents

A small child was found wandering the streets of Marshside, Southport on Friday evening lost and upset (Friday 14 September 2017)

The boy, who is thought to have been aged around 4 years old and from Churctown primary school, was found near Stanley High School shortly after 5pm having wandered from his home.

Kind hearted passers by eventually stopped when they realised that the boys parents were nowhere to be seen and he was coaxed into a waiting car for safety while police were called.

Officers soon arrived and was safely reunited with his relieved family.
