95 year old woman lies helpless on stretcher for over 24 hours at Southport Hospital

A 95 year old woman is still waiting to be treated at Southport Hospital despite having been admitted over 24 hours ago.

The elderly woman was brought in by ambulance at 7:45 last night (Tuesday 12 March) and still has not been treated, instead she lies helpless on a stretcher in a corridor at the Town Lane Hospital.

Her son who did not want to be named Told OTS News “Southport hospital is already making local radio news for treating patients in hospital corridors but the situation is much worse.

My 95 year old mum was brought in by ambulance last night at approx 7.45pm.

“She is still on a bed in the corridor and being treated for pneumonia without having a proper bed or room to rest in .

She is still waiting for a bed.”
