We are home to tens of thousands of people aged 65 and over. Some chose to retire here; others are born-and-bred Sandgrounders. They all contribute to our town in countless ways.

Nevertheless, our senior citizens face challenges. They are also looking for fresh opportunities, and want to learn new skills.

That is why, on Friday 12th October, I will be hosting a fair for senior citizens in Southport. It will offer advice, support – and new horizons. The fair will be at Dunes Leisure Centre and run from 10am to 2pm. It is being generously sponsored by Fletchers Solicitors.
