A stupid unidentified person has left kitchen knives dumped in the street next to a primary school in Southport.

A plastic box filled with kitchen items, including a seven inch kitchen knife was dumped on church street this morning (Wednesday 17 May) just yards from Holy Trinity Primary school.

One concerned resident, who found the knife said: “In a world where knife crime is rife, some idiot has just left one lying about in the street and dumped it for the binmen.”

Merseyside Police have been informed.
