At the Southport Branch AGM held on the 8th January, 7 candidates standing for election were selected, for all of the 7 wards in Southport, plus three new committee members..
The next meeting for Southport Branch will be Thursday 12th February, starts at 7.30 pm, at the Park Golf Club, Park Road West, Southport PR9 0JS. Telephone 01704 530133 Refreshments from the bar include non alcoholic drinks.
The meeting lasts approximately 2 hours. Members and guests are welcome to arrive early and to stay after the meeting, up to 11 pm. Plenty of parking at rear of the club and on the road. (non members very welcome)
Additional afternoon open meetings will commence, at the same venue, from Friday 23 th January 2015 from 2.30 pm. and monthly thereafter, on the 4 th Friday of each month. Please bring your friends along.
Next publicity table on Lord Street Southport for handing out leaflets will be on Saturday 24 th January, positioned near the Scarisbrick Hotel.
A social evening get together is planned, in place of our first meeting date after the election, to celebrate our success of course. We will be holding a raffle for this event and tickets will be on sale at all meetings up to and including that day. 14 th May. Any donations of prizes would be greatly appreciated.
