Southport Lib Dem Councillor, Tony Dawson thanks OTS News.co.uk for highliting the fact that travellers have descended in different locations throughout Southport today (Wednesday 25th June 2014).

Cllr Dawson has emailed Sefton Council and Merseyside Police to take action to remove them off Council land, see below……..

    Margaret,

Further to my previous email (below) I gather that there are also travellers on Princes Park:
They are breaking out everywhere – I would be amazed if this is a co-incidence as it will doubtless stretch our Council and Police resources locally. It is like a much milder version of ISIS in Iraq!

    Margaret,

It appears that these ‘travellers’ (below) are staying put!
Can we take steps to shift them asap if this is not being done already?
There are also, apparently, ‘travellers’ at Kings Meadow in Wooodvale.
I am sure Cllr Preece would be more than happy for these, too, to depart.
Thanks for your assistance in this.(Cllr) Tony Dawson
