21 Fires started at Formby Nature Reserve

Approximately 1.6kmsq of dune grassland and pine woodland was damaged by deliberately set fires at National Trust Formby on Tuesday 18 April.

Please help us by being extra vigilant when visiting and reporting any suspicious behaviour immediately to the fire brigade and the police.

Fire officers were called to the incident at around 4.30pm on Tuesday, spending an hour tackling the fires alongside the reserve’s own rangers.
