Sefton MBC cabinet members gave the green light for Meols Cop high School to get a new library, and IT suite at last Thursday’s (July 19th 2012) meeting.
The scheme falls within Seftons council’s Children’s Services Capital Programme.
It will be funded from a Capital Maintenance Grant.
Leader of Sefton Council, Cllr Peter Dowd, said: “This is another example of making sure all our schools are in the right condition and as accessible as possible for pupils to learn and develop.
”By investing in our schools now, this will obviously have positive outcomes for the future.
“We are fully committed to supporting many different projects right across Sefton, and schemes like the one at Meols Cop offer green and environmentally friendly opportunities.
”This is obviously the way forward and we will continue to support them.“
