Philip Glenister & Liz White in Southport filming new BBC drama about horrific 1996 IRA bombing

Filming has commenced on the BBC’s highly-anticipated ‘From There To Here’ three-part drama.

Some big names including Bernard Hill, Philip Glenister and Liz White are attached to the project, which looks at the devastating aftermath of the IRA bombing on Manchester in 1996.

More than 200 people were injured by the largest peacetime bomb detonated in Britain, but remarkably, and thankfully, no one was killed.

Today, (Friday 4th October 2013) Production teams from the BBC were filming scenes along Southport sea front and on Southport Pier.

They filmed a car scene on Marine Drive car park, then a scene along Southport Pier.
