100 year old car showroom to shut down for final time

The owners of a Southport car showroom say they are closing the business after more than 100 years in the town.

The Oldfield family have taken the decision to retire, meaning their popular showroom on Queen’s Road will close down for good.

Owners David, Peter, Steven & Stephanie released the following statement tonight.

“After over 100 years of trading and many years
of service to the people of Southport and
surrounding areas, we, as a family have finally
decided to retire and as such from 31/10/2022
Oldfields Automobiles will no longer be trading.

“With this in mind, all our cars in our final
retirement sale are now attractively priced and
will be provided with a 12 month warranty with
ths sale and aupported by The Warranty Group

“Although we will no longer be in business,
should your car require any servicing or MOT,
we ourselves use and highly recommend either
Jones & Kearns, 77 Portland St, Southport (tel.
