Update: YMCA climbing wall closed

Sefton Council have visited the YMCA on Hoghton Street due to heath and safety concerns.

Sefton council have been visiting the YMCA on Hoghton Street due to heath and safety concerns. The rock wall has been closed down indefinitely due to a number of health and safety risks.  All climbing classes have been cancelled.  

YMCA’s Statement on temporary closure of Southport climbing wall:

“Southport YMCA has temporarily closed the climbing wall to carry out some routine safety maintenance.  The climbing wall will be re-opened next week”.
