Southport World War One Tribute at Byng House Poppy Break Centre

Southport’s Byng House Poppy Break Centre has teamed up with local artist and British Legion Standard Bearer Tony Bramham, who has installed until August at Byng House a temporary Word War One Exhibit on “Proud to Serve” which depicts Flanders Field and also the Victoria Cross Veterans of Southport, Waterloo and Liverpool.

The exhibit was built up over the last two years with the World War One Centenary in mind and has previously been displayed in the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.

The Manger of Byng House, Jason Carroll said “We are grateful to have  been approached by Tony to display this World War One Exhibit. This was such a fantastic opportunity to be able to display this poignant exhibit at Byng House and especially leading up to the World War One Centenary. Our guests have been taking photographs all day since it was installed.
