On Sunday September 4th Woodlands Animal Sanctuary which is based at Holmeswood in Lancashire and cares for more than 350 animals from hedgehogs to horses is holding its annual Family Fun Day.

The event regularly attracts around 1,000 visitors and is the Sanctuary’s biggest fundraiser for the year. This year the Sanctuary is asking local businesses and individuals to support the Fun Day by sponsoring the core costs of the event. In return the company logos and information will be used in publicity and at the Fun Day itself.

Vickie Maude , a Trustee of the Sanctuary , said “ The Family Fun Day is a huge event for us but has significant core costs such as marquee and toilet hire , the cost of entertainment , hire of tables and chairs etc which impacts on the amount of money raised to support our work with the animals. We hope that local businesses and individuals will support us by sponsoring a particular item , such as table and chair hire or advertising costs , to help us raise more much needed funds from the event . We will acknowledge their sponsorship in our events programme as well as using their logo in publicity and on the Fun Day itself .”

She continued “.This is the first time that we have asked for sponsorship for this important event and we hope that local businesses or individuals will see this as an innovative way to show their support for the work that the Sanctuary does”

If you would like more information on how you can become a sponsor for the event please contact the Sanctuary on 01704 823293 or email info@animalsanctuary.org.uk
