Today a woman who split her head open after tripping on a curb on Nevill Street had to wait one hour and ten minutes for an ambulance, Sunday 9 August. A member the public called for an ambulance at 2pm and twenty minutes later a response paramedic car arrived and treated her injuries. The lady A witness said: “The lady appeared to be in a state of shock and her head injury looked quiet serious, our ambulance service must be really stretched if she had to wait one hour for a head injury such as this”.
